STORAGE DEVICES

1. FLOPPY DISK- is a data storage medium that is composed of a disk of thin, flexible ("floppy") magnetic storage  medium sealed in a square or rectangular plastic carrier lined with fabric that removes dust particles.

 2. MEMORY CARD- or flash card is an electronic flash memory data storage device used for storing digital information.

 3. ROM (READ-ONLY MEMORY)- s a class of storage media used in computers and other electronic devices. Data stored in ROM cannot be modified, or can be modified only slowly or with difficulty, so it is mainly used to distribute firmware (software that is very closely tied to specific hardware, and unlikely to need frequent updates).

 4. RAM (RANDOM- ACCESS MEMORY)- The word "RAM" is often associated with volatile types of memory (such as DRAM  memory modules), where the information is lost after the power is switched off. Many other types of memory are RAM as well, including most types of ROM  and a type of flash memory called NOR-flash.

 5. USB ( UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS)- can connect computers peripherals such as mice, keyboards, digital cameras , printers , personal media players, flash drives, Network Adapters, and external hard drives. For many of those devices, USB has become the standard connection method.
